Set sail for a swashbuckling adventure on the stage with Ahoy, Actors! Over the course of the camp, kids will develop acting skills, learn improvisation, create characters, and even help write their own pirate-inspired scenes.
MUSICAL THEATRE INTENSIVE CAMP

Performers will be immersed in all aspects of musical theater during this fun, week-long intensive. Daily classes in acting, voice and dance will focus on building a character through monologue and song as well as honing dance technique while learning exciting choreography. The week will culminate with a cabaret style performance for family and friends featuring individual and ensemble scenes, songs and dances. This class is recommended for those that have had stage experience and wish to further develop their talent, technique and confidence. Students should come prepared with a 1-2 minute monologue as well as a song from a musical(Broadway, Film, or TV).

“My favorite part of being involved with the Parkway Playhouse is that we are a teaching institution, which allows me to work in my two favorite realms: theater and education.”
“My favorite thing about being at Parkway is definitely the people. We have such a strong family-like bond, and we’re always there for each other. I wouldn’t trade the memories or bonds that I have created since joining for anything!”
“The thing I love most about parkway is the community it’s created for so many of us. As an angsty teenager, it gave me a place to express myself openly and freely, and now as an adult it allows to me to continue making the art that I enjoy so much.
“I love the atmosphere of the Playhouse. It is such a beautiful building filled with life and energy. I love watching kids learn and grow and fall in love with theater.”
