Our Town is showing here at Parkway Playhouse May 23-June 1, 2025! We reached out to actor Jonathan Polgar, who is portraying Dr. Gibbs, about his experience working on this production.
What’s your favorite part of this show and why?
I love the earnest sincerity about the importance of connection in these divisive times.
What about this show do you think will stick with audiences?
There is a beautiful message about people coming together, which was, for me, such a needed reminder after Helene.
How excited are you to be working with this incredible cast?
I feel honored to get to return to the stage after 10 years with such a fun and talented group of people.
What have you loved about working on this production?
Getting to play!
How did you get into theatre?
I was up late with rehearsals for Noises Off in college while blowing off my 8 am biology class (don’t tell my patients!).
What’s your favorite thing to do in the area?
Take in the beauty of these mountains and rivers, even in their changes.
What have you loved about working on this production?
Getting to know the “theatre people” of Burnsville.
