Arsenic and Old Lace is showing here at Parkway Playhouse October 10-19, 2025! We reached out to Paula O’Brien, who is playing Martha Brewster in this classic spooky comedy, to find out more about her and her experience working on this production.
What part of this show is your favorite and why?
I really enjoy the contradiction between the sisters appearing to be ‘fragile old women’ versus the monsters they actually are 😂.
What about this show do you think will stick with audiences?
I think people will get a kick out of the variety of characters and how we all weave in and out of the story.
What have you loved so far about working with Parkway Playhouse?
How kind and welcoming everyone is. The clear communication.
How did you get into theatre?
Oh, being the youngest of 6 kids, I’ve been ‘acting’ right from the get-go, just to get some attention!
