Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical is showing here at Parkway Playhouse June 20-July 6, 2025. We reached out to actor Willow Bollinger, who is a part of our ensemble, about her experience working on this production.
What’s your favorite part of this show and why?
Honestly, Matilda is probably one of my favorite productions. So overall, I really have no specific part that is my favorite.
What’s your favorite book and why?
Anne of Green Gables. I really like the description and detail the author uses. I also just like the characters and the way the story runs in general.
How excited are you to be working with this incredible cast?
Very excited to work with such a talented group of people.
What have you loved about working on this production?
I really love working on choreography. It is really fun getting to dance with the amazing cast.
How did you get into theatre?
I have done several small productions with my homeschool group, as well as a few classes & camps with First Stage Youth Theatre.
What’s your favorite thing to do in the area?
In the summer, I enjoy swimming in the river with friends and family. I live in Madison county, and enjoy the trips to Burnsville for the amazing productions Parkway puts on.
What have you loved so far about working with Parkway Playhouse?
I love how the cast and crew are all so friendly.
